GREAT PERFORMANCES AT FINAL DAY OF KILKENNY TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 4th and final day of the Kilkenny Track and Field Championships were held in Scanlon Park on Sunday 30th of May. Gold medal were won by Ruth Kennedy who won both the 500m and Shot Putt in U11 Girls, Aoife Naddy won Gold in the High Jump and Silver in the 500m u13, Rebecca Kennedy won Gold in the 500m and Bronze in Shot u14, Keith Flavin won Gold in the 800m and Silver in both Long Jump and Javelin u16, Sophie Parkinson won Gold in the Shot Putt u17, Seppi Lysaght won Gold in the Javelin Silver in 200m and Long Jump u17, Shawn McCormack won Gold in both 200m and 800m Silver in Javelin u18, Joe Wolfe won Gold in the Senior Men 800m, Silver medals were won by Eve O’Dwyer in u8 60m and Bronze in 200m, Tiffany Fitzgerald won silver in Girls u9 200m, Pauli Lysaght won silver in Bu13 Javelin, Dusan Rabat won silver in Long Jump and bronze in 200m u15, Evan Foley won silver in 200m and bronze in 800m u15, Aoife won silver in 100m u17, Joanna Morrissey won silver in u17 Shot Putt, Tommy Evans finished 2nd in Senior 5000m, Simon O’Dwyer won silver in over35 men 5000m. The Club finished 2nd overall in both Senior and Juvenile sections.
